S1007-1 Social Justice Theater (Gr 9-12)

Did you know that live theater can be used for more than entertainment?  Join us in creating an original stage production that will raise awareness of mental health issues facing teens. The May 23 session will be an introduction to social justice theater model. Meet the directors, cast, and crew, and workshop topics that interest you.  In August, we will develop, rehearse, and perform an original script to educate peers and advocate for students in need of support. The show will be presented to the community at large in the summer and to students at the beginning of the academic year. Opportunities to perform for groups outside the area will be available throughout the school year.

Dates: (Practice) August 12-16 Time: 8:00 AM—4:00 PM in the High School Auditorium Performance will be August 16
