3107-3 Starting A Herb Kitchen Garden
Instructor:
Herbs are any plants used for food, flavoring, medicine, or fragrance. Herbs refer to the leafy green or flowering parts of a plant (either fresh or dried), while spices are produced from other parts of the plant (usually dried), including seeds, berries, bark, roots and fruits.
Teri has a passion for herbs and is excited to share her knowledge with you. This class will focus on starting herbs from seed, how they thrive and survive in Minnesota, which ones will do well inside over the winter, which herbs are perennials, and which are annuals, plus more. This will be a great way to learn about starting your own herb garden and enjoying many fresh herbs at home. Teri will also bring along samples of herbs, some herbal tea, and other surprises.
